There are a number of ways that WCCYM is involved in Comberton Sixth Form:
CHRISTIAN UNION – Youth workers linked to WCCYM help to support a Christian Union that happens on a Monday lunchtime in SIX1, where there is discussion around issues of life and faith. We are back to meeting in person again this term! So if you’re at Comberton Sixth Form, join us on Monday lunchtime, 12.30-1.10pm, in SIX1.
MOCHA THE WEEK – Youth workers from WCCYM go into college once a week to give out hot drinks and biscuits, providing an opportunity to chat to young people and get to know them. This is happening on a Friday lunchtime.
PD (PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT) LESSONS – WCCYM youthworkers are asked to lead specific sessions for Sixth Form students – eg on relationships.
ASSEMBLIES – Youth workers will sometimes go into assemblies to let students know about upcoming events, and about the regular activities WCCYM runs.
SUPPORTING OTHER AREAS OF THE SIXTH FORM– Youth workers are sometimes involved in mentoring students in pastoral issues. They may also be involved in helping out where needed.
